Amendment 1 provides answers to RFIs, a revised SOW, dewatering management plan form, wall cross section drawing, and changes the due date from 3/20 to 3/27.
The purpose of this project is to construct a new water main west of the base perimeter wall along SR A1A from Building 209 to the Main Gate area to upgrade the domestic water system infrastructure. Lateral mains crossing SR A1A to serve existing beachside facilities will be horizontal directional drilled. The existing mains will be abandoned in place and special procedures taken for removals of AC piping.
Provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to construct a complete and functional water system as described by the contract drawings. Contractor will be responsible for providing a water system crossover plan from the existing system to the new. The intent of the crossover plan is to provide sequencing to determine how and when connections will be made, understand timing of shutdowns, and to limit the water system downtime.
