The work includes rebuilding chillers 4 and 5, replacing variable frequency drives for the primary chilled water pumps, replacing variable frequency drives for the secondary chilled water pumps, replacing variable frequency drives for the condensing water pumps, replacing variable frequency drives for the cooling tower fans, upgrading the chiller controls to Trane Symbio controls to enhance communication and the ability to operate the plant in automatic, and repairing failed sensors and control points identified by Trane on a previous controls examination to provide a fully functional assembly. All offerors are cautioned that the construction team is expected to spend an adequate amount of time at the facility prior to proposal submittal to fully assess the existing conditions to ensure that appropriate construction methods can be used to replicate the existing features in the proposed work.
